Job Responsibilities

  • Thread, adjust, and align flanges correctly, including four-way and square alignment.
  • Support flange mechanic work, including tacking, bullet work, or work in the joint where required.
  • Carry out shortening, surveying, lining up, layout, and pipe positioning tasks.
  • Use knowledge of pipe schedules when preparing, selecting, and working with piping materials.
  • Perform cold bending with the help of a bending machine and support warm bending tasks when required.
  • Carry out prefabrication work in a workshop or production environment.
  • Cut pipe or material with a torch according to work instructions and project requirements.
  • Work with steam tracing, stainless steel, copper, and related piping materials where required by the project.
  • Erect supports and prepare pipe systems for correct installation, alignment, or further production.
  • Read and work from isometric drawings, including American-style isometrics where required.
  • Make tie-ins and support connection work according to project instructions.
  • Carry out torque work, take readings, and check measurements during the work process.

  • Ability to read and work from isometric drawings and technical work instructions.
  • Knowledge of pipe schedules, flange alignment, welding-joint preparation, and correct fit-up.
  • Experience with threading, bending, cutting, layout, torque, taking readings, or pipe alignment is highly relevant.
