About the Technician/Tester Role
As a Technician/Tester in the Netherlands, you will check and test control cabinets, panels, electro-technical installations, and instrumentation installations. The role is focused on technical inspection, testing, fault-finding, calibration, and working from drawings.
Depending on the project, you may work with Honeywell and/or Siemens systems, measurement instruments such as a HART communicator, analysis equipment, control panels, instrumentation loops, and technical drawings. Job Responsibilities
- Check control cabinets, control panels, and related electro-technical installations.
- Check instrumentation installations according to project requirements.
- Work with Honeywell and/or Siemens systems depending on the project.
- Use diverse measurement instruments, such as a HART communicator.
- Remedy malfunctions on installations and support technical troubleshooting.
- Work on the basis of electrical, instrumentation, or technical drawings.
- Calibrate and check analysis equipment.
- Verify that panels, cabinets, and instruments are functioning correctly.
- Work together with technicians, E&I specialists, electricians, supervisors, and site teams.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and keep testing work organised and traceable.
Job Requirements
- Experience as a Technician/Tester, E&I Technician, electrical technician, instrumentation technician, panel tester, or similar technical role.
- Experience checking control cabinets, panels, electro-technical installations, or instrumentation installations is an advantage.
- Experience with Honeywell and/or Siemens systems is useful depending on the project.
- Ability to work with measurement instruments such as a HART communicator.
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings.
- Experience calibrating or checking analysis equipment is an advantage.
- Good English for workplace communication and recruiter contact.
- Driver’s licence required.
- Petrochemical experience is preferred.
- Valid right to work in the Netherlands, such as an EU passport or ID card, or a valid Dutch work permit.
