About the Industrial/Petrochemical Electrician Role
As an Industrial/Petrochemical Electrician in the Netherlands, you will work on electrical installation tasks in demanding technical environments. The work includes installing junction boxes, pulling and installing multicore cable, connecting cables to switchboards, connecting cables to motors, and working with different cable glands such as Hawke glands or Ex glands.
This role is different from a general building electrician or infra electrician role. Industrial and petrochemical projects require careful cable routing, clean terminations, correct gland selection and installation, safe working behaviour, and the ability to follow site rules in controlled technical environments.
Industrial or petrochemical experience is preferred. The required certificates do not need to be available before applying. VCA Basis, NEN3140 and ATEX 153 can be obtained when required for the project.
Job Responsibilities
- Install junction boxes for industrial electrical systems.
- Pull, route, and install multicore cable according to project instructions.
- Pull cables and connect them to switchboards.
- Pull cables and connect them to motors.
- Work with diverse glands such as Hawke-type glands and Ex glands.
- Support electrical installation work in industrial or petrochemical environments.
- Prepare cables, glands, and terminations in a clean and organised way.
- Follow cable routing, cable identification, connection, and safety instructions.
- Work together with other electricians, supervisors, and site teams.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean installation area.
Job Requirements
- Experience as an Industrial Electrician, Petrochemical Electrician, electrical installer, cable electrician, or similar technical role.
- Industrial or petrochemical experience is preferred.
- Experience with junction boxes, multicore cable, switchboards, motors, or industrial cable glands is an advantage.
- Ability to work accurately with cables, glands, terminations, and electrical connections.
- English level B1 for workplace communication and recruiter contact.
- Driver’s licence required.
- Reliable, practical, and able to work as part of an international technical team.
- Safety-conscious attitude and willingness to follow site procedures.
- Valid right to work in the Netherlands, such as an EU passport or ID card, or a valid Dutch work permit.
