As a Fitter / Welder, you will play an important role in the construction, maintenance, and repair of industrial machines and structures. The work includes both workshop tasks and occasional field work, depending on what the equipment or project requires.

This is a practical welding and fitting role for candidates who can combine fabrication, repair work, technical drawing reading, and hands-on problem solving. You will work on complex equipment where quality, safety, and functionality are important.

Job Responsibilities

• Assemble machine parts, including sheet metal, machined, sawn, and laser-cut components.
• Weld structural components between 2 mm and 50 mm thick using MIG/MAG and electrode techniques.
• Modify, adapt, and repair recycling machines, debris crushers, and earth-moving equipment.
• Perform emergency repairs and overhauls when needed.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, sketches, and revisions.
• Use techniques such as plasma cutting, oxyfuel cutting, gouging, and related metalwork methods.
• Machine and customise parts independently where required.
• Work in the workshop and occasionally in the field, depending on the repair or maintenance task.
• Support safe, high-quality fabrication and repair of industrial equipment.

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of proven experience with MIG/MAG and electrode welding.
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings, sketches, and revisions.
• Experience with fitting, fabrication, repair, machine construction, or industrial equipment is important.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and open to different tasks, technical problems, and work environments.
• Hands-on approach and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable working with thick structural components, machine parts, and repair work.
• Basic English is usually needed for communication at work and with your recruiter.
• Valid right to work in the Netherlands, such as an EU passport or ID card, or a valid Dutch work permit.
