Car Damage Preparator Job in Holland

Our partner agency in the Netherlands is looking for experienced car damage preparators to join professional body shops across different locations in the country.

If you have experience as a car mechanic or bodywork specialist and you know all the steps required to prepare cars perfectly before painting, this is a great opportunity to develop your skills and build a long-term career in the Netherlands.

As a Car Damage Preparator, you’ll work on vehicles that have been repaired by panel beaters and get them fully ready for the paint booth. Your work is essential to ensure a smooth, factory-quality finish. You’ll work independently, but also as part of a team of car painters and body repair specialists.

Job Responsibilities

In this position, your daily tasks will include:

  • Assessing the quality of the panel beating before starting preparation

  • Sanding down to bare metal and applying the first layer of putty

  • Restoring original lines and shapes in repaired parts

  • Sanding putty smooth and tight to prepare for filler and primer

  • Spraying and sanding filler and primer

  • Accurately and efficiently masking the vehicle before painting

  • Polishing the painted car to remove sags, dust, and fade-out areas

  • Applying sealant/kit in the same way as originally applied

  • Repairing bumpers using a plastic welding machine

  • Using all prescribed tools and equipment correctly and safely

  • Keeping your workspace and tools clean, neat, and in good order

  • Completing assignments following the proper process, within the required time and quality standards

  • Performing the job independently and taking responsibility for your work

Job Requirements

  • CV in English (required to apply)

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in automotive bodywork / damage preparation

  • Considerable experience with car painting operations and preparation work

  • Ability to work independently and follow all process steps correctly

  • Serious, flexible, and motivated attitude

  • Willingness to live and work with colleagues of different nationalities

  • Ready to stay and work long-term in the Netherlands

  • Willingness to do a practical skills test on-site (applicants can be tested by the company)

  • EU citizenship (passport/ID) or valid Dutch work permit

Working Conditions & Benefits

  • Hours: At least 40 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime

  • Net salary: €600–€720 per week (depending on experience and performance)

  • Workwear: Safety shoes and work clothes are provided

  • Transport: E-bike, bike, or company car provided for commuting to work (depending on location and company policy)

  • Contract:

    • First phase: temporary contract

    • Later: if your work quality is good and consistent, the contract can become permanent

    • There is also the possibility to be employed directly by the company in the future
